Grassroots Business Solutions LLC launched in 2020. The partners of GBS saw a need in the small business community for business advisors. Our mission is to provide “solutions from the ground up” for both individuals and small businesses. We specialize in helping small businesses get up and running properly, establish sustainable processes and systems and maintain compliance. Our team is run and directed by Business Professionals from various backgrounds who are equipped to help with any problem.

Ibn. Devin Uqdah, Esq.
Devin Uqdah prides himself on simplifying the complicated tax world for his clients. He provides his clients resourceful and result-oriented solutions in looking at tax problems from both a businessperson’s and a tax professional’s perspective.
Devin has worked as a senior international and domestic tax consultant assisting multi-national companies and non-profits at large public accounting firms.
Devin earned an accounting and law degree in Philadelphia at La Salle University School of Business and Temple University Beasley School of Law.
Rickiea Thornhill, CPA
Rickiea Thornhill is a trusted Business Advisor who is passionate about sharing information and believes that the key to financial security is proper planning. Rickiea has held several positions at Fortune 500 companies, gaining diverse expertise in Accounting, Tax, Internal Audit and Financial Planning and Analysis. She is a Certified Public Accountant in the Commonwealth of Virginia. She particularly enjoys the educational aspect of finance and counseling clients on managing the growth of their businesses.
Rickiea has committed to continuous learning and advancing the industry by serving as the Assistant Vice President of Treasury and Vice President of Academic Relations for the Institute of Internal Auditors, an organization that advocates, educates, and develops standards and certifications for the internal audit profession. In addition to dedicating time to her work, she has committed to the community by mentoring young people of color and empowering them to become future business leaders.
Rickiea holds a B.S. in Accounting from Virginia Commonwealth University School of Business.
